Out of Zone Information

Queenstown Primary School has an enrolment zone.

Please complete the Out of zone enrolment inquiry if you wish to be considered for an out-of-zone enrolment during one of our two ballot periods.

Please see below for some FAQ’s around Out of Zone enrolments:

Q – When do you accept out of zone enrolments?

A – We have 2 out of zone enrolment ballot periods in each school year.

  •  Late Term 3, for enrolments in Term 1 in the following year.
  • Late term 1 for enrolments in Term 3 in the same academic year.
  • We will notify the community through the local newspaper and via our school communications. We also email those parents and caregivers who are on our interested parties list.

Q – Will there be spaces in my child’s year group?

A – Sometimes we only have capacity in certain year groups of our school. For example, we may have capacity for out-of-zone students in all years, but on occasion, there are years where, unfortunately, we do not have the space. Availability will be confirmed at the enrolment ballot periods

Q – What does the ballot process entail?

A, – Once the ballot process is open, please complete the Out of zone enrolment inquiry.

After all in-zone enrolments have been accepted, there may be places available for students who live outside the home zone. Enrolment for out-of-zone applicants is dependent on an order of priority defined by the Act and may require a ballot. When offered a place you will be invited to complete a full enrolment form.

All students who live within the home zone described in the map above and the
following information, shall be eligible to enroll at Queenstown Primary School.
