The bus routes for Queenstown Primary School are listed below. Please note the times are approximate and some stops may change, subject to numbers. Please readfurther Information under School Bus Procedures.


Arrowtown/Bungy/Gibbston

Departs Coal Pit Road at 7.50am then along the main road to Arrow Junction Rd continuing on into Arrowtown, travelling along Adamson Drive, departing from the Village Dairy at 8.10am. There is a further collection point at the Fire Station, then travels along Lake Hayes Road and Ladies Mile. Returning via the reverse route. Note : QPS students get on the same Arrowtown bus from QPS and change at WHS


Dalefield/Arthurs Point

Departs 8.20am from Coronet Peak Station Road, travelling along the main road through Arthurs Point (approx 8.30am) to Queenstown. Picks up corner Dalefield Road, Littles Road, Atley Road and Arthurs Point. Returns via the reverse route. Finishes run approx 4.10pm


Fernhill/Sunshine Bay & Closeburn/Bobs Cove

Departs 8.30am from Treetops Restaurant, travels up through Arawata Terrace, Greenstone Place and down Fernhill Road. Last pickup just before Cameron Place. Returning via the reverse route.

Children living at Closeburn/Bobs Cove travel in with the High School children, departing at 7.50am and arrive at school by 8.20am. The return trip is with the High School bus and arrives home around 4.00pm. The alternative is to meet the Primary School bus at Sunshine Bay


Frankton

Departs 8.15am from the corner of Remarkables Crescent and Riverside Road, then at the corner of Remarkables Crescent and Robertson Street. This bus does not stop along Frankton Road or at the Frankton Village. Returns along reverse route in the afternoon, around 3.20pm. Does not stop along Frankton Road or McBride Street.


Kelvin Heights

First stop 7.50am Boyds Road. Heads onto Peninsula Road and travels along to Oregon Drive by 8.00am, Poplar Drive by 8.10am, with collection points along Peninsula Road, through Loop Road with a stop at Willow Place. After the bridge the bus picks up opposite Humphrey Street on SH6, then on McBride Street with the last stop being the bus shelter near Kellys at 8.25am. Reverse route in the afternoon with the first drop-off corner Gray and McBride Streets. Leaves school ASAP - bus returns to Willow Place bus shelter to pick up secondary school pupils and finishes at Boyd Road or Remarkables ski entrance at 4.00 - 4.05pm


Lake Hayes Estate

Departs 8.15am from the first roundabout in Lake Hayes Estate. This bus will complete a circuit around Lake Hayes Estate via Sylvan street and Hope Avenue and then head directly into Queenstown with no other stops. Returns via same route with children being dropped off at Lake Hayes Estate around 3.45pm


Speargrass Flat

Departs 7.50am from the Lower shotover end of Domain Road, travelling down speargrass Flat Road, up the hill around Millbrook and back along Malaghan Road, turning at Hunters Road, then back into Lower Shotover Road, the last pick up at the intersection with the main road. Returns via the reverse route, with no stops along Frankton Road/Events Centre


Tuckers Beach/Quail Rise

Departs Quail Rise at 8.15am, and heads out to Tuckers Beach. The bus will pick up along the main road with pickups at the Shell Service station, Battery Hill and Goldfields at approximately 8.40am. Returns via the reverse route in the afternoon with the Goldfields stop around 3.40pm. This is the only bus that takes Frankton Road children


Note ; Primary students at Queenstown Primary and St Josephs are collected at 3.10pm and transported to the High School for bus changes for Arrowtown, Dalefield and Speargrass Flat runs, departing from the High School at 3.35pm

No skis, poles, snowboards , bikes or skateboards are permitted on school buses


Students travelling from Arrowtown

The Ministry of Education does not provide transport assistance for students who choose to attend a school other than the school in their home zone. This unfortunately means that primary students who live within the Arrowtown Primary School "home zone" are not eligible for transport assistance to attend Queenstown Primary School. Details of the zone are available from the bus driver. Students will be required to purchase a $15.00 (10 ride) concession ticket which must be produced each time they travel on the school bus. The concession tickets can be purchased from the Village Dairy, Adamson Drive, Arrowtown - they are not available from the school
